Katie tries to drink the water (sometimes clean sometimes not so clean, ugh)in all of her backyard toys. She knows she not supposed to...hence the little face.
It just started to rain, which apparently it will be doing for the next week!

I love that you are posting Katie's story, it brings back so many memmories of Livie and the PICU...wow. Katie and Livie sure are strong little girls!! (:

I'm so glad you updated the story. I've been waiting for it. Katie is definitely a miracle and she makes me smile every time I look at her sweet, precious face. Keep on working on that speech and one day, you'll wish she would let you have a minute to get a word in edgewise! She's going to be just fine. You are a great mommy.

And in regards to peace, I think there is peace in knowing that we (as mamas) know our daughters in ways doctors will never understand. The black and white of the medical world doesn't hold a candle to what our mamahearts know. Our girls will be who they are meant to be, teaching us so much along the way. Katie is so blessed to call you Mama!
